South African superstar, Cassper Nyovest inked a major global deal to work with the corporate giant, Coca-Cola to record the official world cup song Colours with American Artist Jason Derulo. The duo was pictured at the Coca-Cola office putting pen to paper the official collaboration; a big plus for South African music and Africa as a continent.
Jason Derulo added: “I was honoured to work with Coca-Cola to create an anthem celebrating every team and their fans. ‘Colours’ represents the different flags and cultures from around the world and will get everyone moving to a unifying beat. I’m excited to finally tell the world about this partnership as the excitement builds for the FIFA World Cup.”
Cassper, who flew out to LA last week to finalize the deal has been putting that work while out there. The Maftwon artist has been recording with French Montana as well as vibing with various artists trying to spread that South African flag high. The two who recorded a joint while French was in South Africa last year are working on more music and this should work as a bonus for French after collaborating with Nasty C on Allow, a huge song in the South.
Back home, Cassper is still dominating the airwaves with new tracks like Soup ft MI, Saka Nyuka ft Blaklez, Baby Girl & Uthando ft Major League Djz getting high rotation on radio, 2018 is getting handled early. Needless to say, the Maftown star started off the year like how he ended 2017 by making history filling up FNB Stadium with a capacity of 65,000 fans. The Family Tree CEO is still enjoying success with Thuto his 3 studio album voted Best Album at the SAMAs and hit single “Tito Mboweni” winning best video.
