Man arrested outside VP Kamala Harris’ official residence with rifle and ammunition
Washington DC Police have arrested a Texas man outside Vice President Kamala Harris’s official residence in the USA capital on Wednesday. According to Washington’s Metropolitan Police, the arrested 31-year-old Paul Murray of San Antonio, Texas, had a rifle and ammunition in his vehicle. The suspected was detained by Uniformed Division officers of the US Secret Service before Metropolitan Police arrived on the scene. The arrest was made around 12:12 pm, at the 3400 block of Massachusetts Avenue, NW, following an intelligence bulletin from Texas. The suspect had an “AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, 113 rounds of unregistered ammunition, and five 30 round magazines” in his car during the arrest, a police report shows. According to police, the authorities have charged Paul Murray with carrying unregistered ammunition, possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a shotgun or rifle outside of a business, and possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device.
