Chelsea Sack Thomas Tuchel as Manager.
Chelsea club have sacked Thomas Tuchel as manager and are holding talks with Brighton boss Graham Potter as a replacement.
The Blues sacked Mr Tuchel on Wednesday despite winning three trophies in 20 months at Stamford Bridge.
The sacking of the German-born Tuchel shows Chelsea's ruthless and no-nonsense reputation for sacking managers, irrespective of their previous achievements and success.
The management at Stamford Bridge has approached Brighton Graham manager Potter for possible replacement.
The Seagulls have given the 47-year-old Potter to talk with Chelsea.
Chelsea came under new management in May after the former owner Roman Abramovich was forced to give up the club's ownership following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Chelsea's new owners decided to sack Thomas Tuchel after they believed Chelsea's players had lost confidence in the manager.
Graham Potter, who took over the helm at Brighton, was appointed in May 2019 and he took the club from its 16th position in the Premier League table to the ninth-place finish during his three-season stay with the club. Potter has led Brighton to the fourth position, winning four and drawing one of their six Premier League matches. Following his success, rumours say that Graham Potter will be a potential future England coach.
It is left to be seen whether the sacking of Thomas Tuchel, once voted one of the best coaches in the Premier League, will bring the much-needed confidence of Chelsea players and the success the club desperately needs.
